Sunflower: Yellow and Peach
2020 was a year to remember. I was supposed to teach a class in Bead Embroidery only to have the pandemic happen and the resultant shut-down. I had made the class samples before everything bad happened and have kept them in my finished products inventory from them to now. They are doube layer sunflowers in three different color ways with a plethora of tiny 2mm
Swarovski crystals. They sparkle and shine in the light. They, suspended from and 18" chain of 2mm leather cord wi th a hook-and-eye clasp and three leaf dangles hang just perfectly when suspended from your neck.
I kept them, thinking that I might teach that class someday and also because I really like them. But reality says that its unlikely that I will ever teach again and certainly not these, Swarovski crytals on their own are just too dear as well as difficult to come by to consider assembling kits like these. And so i have come to the decision to let these samples see the light of day in the hope that somebody would love to wear and love them,
Pricing my art is a function of materials and time spent making a piece, but it's been too long and I dont know how much time I put into each flower. Nor do I know what the number of crystals in each piece would cost, if they could be attained at all, in todays marketplace. So i have decided to offer them at a price far lower than Im sure they would run if I had the pertinent information. When the three color ways have been shipped, there will not be any more like them made.
